4 Nights 3 Days Hanoi - Sapa By train

Your guide and driver will pick you up at hotel for transfer to Railway station for overnight train to Lao Cai. 

Overnight on train (sharing 4-berth cabin)

Note: Your guide will not accompany you on train

Meals: None

You will be met by local guide and driver upon your arrival at Lao Cai station then transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast. 

Start your visit with a drive to Can Cau market - a small, but very colorful market which opens on Saturday only. The road is relatively flat from Lao Cai to Bao Nhai bridge. After crossing the bridge, we begin our journey uphill offering beautiful views over the valleys. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will leave the market for Bac Ha town for lunch. 

In the afternoon, we drive downhill towards Lao Cai for about half an hour. En route, we take a short walk to Trung Do village inhabited by Tay people. Stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea before taking a boat cruise upstream the Chay River. The scenery is very beautiful on both sides of the river. The boat trip will end at Bao Nhai bridge where your vehicle will be waiting for you for the journey to Sapa.

Overnight in Sapa.

Note: In case the level of water is not able to take boat trip, you can change to take a buffalo cart in Trung Do village instead.

After having breakfast, meet your guide at hotel and transfer downhill to Mong Sen, where you start trekking uphill through mountainous area. Enjoy while walking the spectacular view over rice paddy terraces, corn fields. Your picnic lunch will be provided on the spot. 

After lunch, we continue our trek downhill towards Taphin village where you will meet Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities, two largest ethnic groups in Sapa area. Stop by a house to talk with local people to know a bit more about their daily life, their customs and tradition. Have dinner and overnight in the village. 

Approx: 1-hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.

Overnight at homestay.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, we start our trek towards Ma Tra Village inhabited by Black Hmong people. We will pass through several minority villages; rice paddy terraces along the way. We will stop for our lunch at the village before get on your car for transfer back to Sapa. Have a shower for refreshment and relax after the trekking trip. Free at leisure until pick up time for transfer to Lao Cai Station for overnight train to Hanoi.

Early morning, arrive in Hanoi Station. Tour ends at the train station. You will take your own transfer to your hotel or to next destination.
